/> International brokerage located in Greenwich, Connecticut needs: Director of Accounting   CPA 5+ years brokerage accounting prior supervisory experience is a must. Experience with Oracle Financials is preferred The Senior Accounting Manager role will be a key position for maintaining financial accounting and control for brokerage entities. This position will require a highly organized, analytical thinker with experience in complex environments, who enjoys problem solving and is persistent in getting to the right answer. Responsibilities: setting up and managing the daily accounting for a number of smaller, growing broker dealers around the world. This will include broker dealers in the US, Canada, Japan, Australia and India. supervision of accountants in the office and of senior accountants outside of the US. ) In depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Strong understanding of control processes. Comfort with and understanding of automated systems. Set-up new accounting entries. Implement and document controls and procedures. Supervise daily, weekly and monthly workflow of accounting staff. Day-to-day responsibility for month-end close process. Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis. Respond to requests from regulators and external auditors. Requirements: CPA, 5+ years experience in accounting. Ability to evaluate current procedures and design and implement changes in order to streamline operations, while ensuring sufficient checks and balances. Self-starter, able to work without constant supervision. Prior experience in highly automated environment. Prior experience with Oracle Financials. Broker Dealer and/or Futures Commissions Merchant experience. Prior audit experience. Knowledge of multi-currency accounting Base salary to 180K plus Bonus! IMMEDIATE INTERVIEW!
