Sr. Metallurgist – Top Pay – Riverside, CA

/> World class supplier of premium products to the Aerospace and Commercial Market OEMs is seeking an experienced senior metallurgist. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering or related • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in metallurgical, engineering or other related field • Experience in Aerospace forging using titanium and/or nickel based super alloys ideal • Strong working knowledge of quality systems and specifications is required Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Act as a technical contact for both internal and external customers • Supervise two metallurgists • Manage processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings • Conduct metallurgical failure analysis and disposition • Maintain new part introduction (NPI), including final review of qualification packages • Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve established targets • Release hardware for production as specified on purchase orders, blueprints or other documents • Review new and revised technical specifications
