Purchasing Agent Job

Compensation: $41, 000 - $55, 000 per year. Position Requirements Include: A B. S. Degree in Business Administration or Economics. Must have experience in procuring for a construction project. Able to read blue prints and put work packages together for bid. Experience working with vendors and expediting purchased items to arrive at the construction site on time. Position Responsibilities Include: Establishing contact with the owner and securing prompt approvals in accordance with the Construction Control Schedule to keep the project on schedule, Examinimg purchase requisitions to determine that correct specifications, quantities, authorizations, terms, and support documentation are included, Entering all Purchasing information into ProMIS, Submitting bid tabulations to the owner with recommended suppliers/vendors, Analyzing vendor quotes to identify those meeting all criteria, and subsequently negotiating, or assisting with negotiations of, final terms and conditions (subject to higher authority review and approval), Assisting in Chairing Pre-Award meetings (ensuring proper liability insurance and unchanged "terms and conditions" of contracts to protect the companies interest at all times).
