Digital Marketing Specialist

is a freelance position, on-site | offsite at a development shop in NYC. Competitive rates, commensurate with skill and experience. We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist will develop and implement marketing and technical solutions for digital marketing initiatives including websites, lead management, e-marketing and social media campaigns. A successful candidate will have a strong practical experience executing A/B and multivariate testing and configuring Google Analytics and leveraging advanced GA's features to track performance. The candidate will have the ability to setup and campaigns in Google Adwords and other Ad networks,   Job Responsibilities: • Implement and execute web, SEO/SEM, and digital marketing systems and programs. • Working closely with the Digital strategy manager, who will provide content, to ensure that there is fresh and current content on the site.  • Identify and implement best practices to increase website traffic, maximize content consumption to deliver a world class user experience. • Daily management of the organization’s social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Produce value-added content for various audiences, as needed.  • Monitor and review traffic using Google Analytics to make recommendations on content and how to direct people to the site, and track the reputation and brand of the organization  • Maintain and advise on ever-evolving digital media best practices. Working knowledge of tools, trends and issues in digital media, and ability to impart such knowledge to other team members   Education & Experience: • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Marketing, Communications or related field from accredited college or university is required plus 3+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Bachelors degree required.   Required Job Skills • 3-5 years experience in digital marketing including website tracking integration and campaign execution • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively and competently handle multiple priorities simultaneously and the flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes in work objectives, processes, and technologies.  • Ability to analyze and anticipate situations, define problems and objectives, recognize alternatives and formulate solutions. • A passion for technology and digital media, including knowledge of evolving best practices, web trends, CAN-SPAM laws, and analytics strongly preferred. • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and comparable web analytics tools • Experience using a variety of CMS and email management systems. Strong understanding of customer relationship management systems, audience segmenting, and the requisite data management skills. Online Advertising Campaign experience • Strong understanding of Web standards, usability, and cross-browser/platform compatibility issues. Knowledge of website design, testing, implementation and online usability a plus
