Time Permanent Position for a large US Company.Must have USA/Canadian Citizenship B-1073 Progress DBA – 4GL Clustering Location: Job is in Detroit, MI Domain:  Computer/Software Experience: 3 Years Salary: $50k-$90k   Job Requirements: Ability to perform code and design reviews Knowledge related to server hardware including networks and storage devices Ability to understand large data models quickly Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues Job Responsibilities: Physical database design and implementation in a UNIX/Progress environment Monitor database system resources and performance Oversee data consistency and third-party interfaces Install, configure Progress or SQL RDBMS and application server Knowledge in strategies and approaches for performance optimization, clustering, and replication such as Fathom replication, Application Server, etc. Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as dump/loads, upgrades and storage management Ensure quality data creation, presentation, and data flow within our systems Manage Database availability, backup, restore and recovery systems Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Experience Needed: Database administration operations experience in a UNIX/Progress or Windows/SQL server environment Expertise in strategies and approaches for performance optimization, clustering, and replication such as Fathom replication, Application Server, etc. Data modeling Knowledge of 4GL coding or SQL coding or UNIX shell scripting Database design/architecture experience in a UNIX/Progress or Windows/SQL server environment   Full Time Permanent Position for a large US Company.   "Make sure the Skill Set, experience and justification for the job must be well demonstrated in your updated resume, Otherwise client will assume that you are not qualified for the job, even if you are."
