Litigation Associate - Base up to $150,000

ION:  Litigation Associate COMPENSATION:  Base salary commensurate with experience, up to $150,000 plus generous bonuses BENEFITS:  Medical benefits, Vacation and Personal/Sick Days, Paid Holidays, Seasonal Office Closing, 401K, Casual Attire, Open Door Policy, Respectful Working Environment LOCATION: Midtown NYC THE ORGANIZATION: Plaintiffs-only law firm with a national trial practice. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a full case load for assigned mass tort, securities and whistleblower cases in State and Federal Courts Serve as the main point of contact for all assigned cases, overseeing the work product for a team of support staff Gather, analyze and interpret data and supporting evidence for cases, developing and discussing case strategy in collaboration with clients and firm partners Prepare and present cases at court, arguing motions as well as leading and defending depositions Complete travel expense reports; enter and track expenses and billable hours Collaborate with Office Manager, Associates and Paralegals for scheduling purposes Prepare and/or review answers to summons and complaints, answers to interrogatories, fact and expert witness lists and exhibit lists, summary judgment motions as well as prepare analysis evidencing product exposure Review and analyze file and selection of pleadings, discovery, deposition transcripts, accident reports, insurance documents and medical records for preparation of treatment summaries and trial binders Trial Preparation and execution REQUIREMENTS: 4-8 years of substantive general litigation experience in and out of court Ability to work without guidance leading depositions and developing case strategy Team Player who is Proactive, Highly Motivated, Energetic, Organized and Self-Managing Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Adobe; Timeslips; TrialWorks; Westlaw, LexisNexis and PACER Admitted to and in good standing with the NYS Bar Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed CONTACT: Janice Miller Paisley Senior Recruitment Manager Filcro Legal Staffing This URL:  http://www.lawfirmpeople.com/html/general-counsel.html#Litigation-Associate EEO EMPLOYER:  Filcro Legal Staffing and the organizations we represent are equal opportunity employers.
