atory (Volcker) Attorney 6 months+ contract Stamford, CT   Role:   Join the Volcker Legal team as project team member. The Volcker Legal team is responsible for Legal aspects of the global implementation of the Volcker Rule across the bank   Candidate would serve as center of expertise for understanding and interpreting designated areas of the Volcker rule and regulatory and industry developments   Candidate will partner with other functions such as Compliance, Risk and front office to help develop project plans and drive implementation where appropriate   Responsibilities include:   Have or be willing to gain in depth understanding of the Volcker Rule in its entirety (including final rules, preamble, statute and related regulatory guidance)   Participate in regular project meetings representing the Legal function   Participate in industry meetings and calls representing the bank   Contribute to work product developed by the Legal team, and review work product developed by other functions   Work in close partnership with the project team to diligence the activities of the bank to ensure the implementation of the rule is appropriate   Provide interpretations of the rule to specific activities and investments; direct outside counsel regarding same where appropriate   Ability to work independently as needed   Background: *Candidates should have hands-on experience with Dodd Frank, Volcker and Covered Funds. 6-10 years law firm or in house experience in regulatory matters. Specific Volcker experience preferred. Background in covered fund related issues a plus
