Audit Manager---Dynamic Midtown Firm---Lead

established, and innovative CPA Firm, seeks self motivated professional to for the following key role: ---Duties include managing multiple audit engagements, and acting as the primary liason, between the partner, the client, and the audit staff. --You will oversee all phases of the engagement, and will be responsible for resolving all legal, regulatory and accounting issues, that arise during an audit engagement. --Responsible for mentoring staff, conducting constructive discussions with staff, on their evaluations, and providing counsel as needed. --Assist with billing and collections. --Stating current on new pronouncements or accounting literature. --Serving in professional development programs, as an instructor or discussion leader. --Managers are expected to participate in business development activities, including cross-selling firm services to existing clients, as well as attending networking events, and conferences. --Very visible role. ---Compensation: $130k to $160k commensurate with experience. Requirement: --Requies a CPA license. --Demonsrrated expertise in current professional practice and knowledge of general economic and political trends. --You should have a knowledge of pending tax or other legislation, affecting the business climate. --Excellent communication and and leadership skills. --Requires 5 to 12 years of experience, with a least 5 of those years, in a public accounting firm.
