ienced Packaging Machinery/Capital Equipment Territory Sales Representative Driven, motivated Sales Professional with experience in Packaging Machinery Equipment needed ASAP.  Candidate should reside in PA, NJ or NY as this position is for the Northeast US territory.  Position requires approximately 80% travel within the designated territory to develop sales and maintain/grow existing accounts. Responsibilities and Duties: - Responsible for all direct sales activities, from finding prospective customers to developing and implementing approved sales plans, to making sales presentations.  The ideal candidate is able to “dig” for new customers and has strong cold calling skills.  Also responsible for researching customer needs within the designated territory. - Demonstrate technical selling skills and the ability to overcome objections.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization are essential.  The Sales Rep needs enthusiasm, a “can do” attitude and  a strong, dedicated work ethic. - Travel throughout territory (able to be a road warrior!) to continuously cultivate customer relationships to meet and surpass company sales quotas.  Sell consultatively making recommendations to prospects and customers. - Possess a strong knowledge in the market and routinely reports such information to identify new market opportunities, including new product development opportunities. - Attend Trade Shows, stay current with market trends, new products, competitors. - Acquire thorough product knowledge and familiarity with company’s line of packaging machinery equipment and be able to present them to customers in effective manner. - Consistent and regular use of CRM and other software tracking to document customer interactions, particularly sales and prospecting activities. - Provide various reports to management concerning existing accounts, potential customers, etc.  Update data base on a regular basis.   Ideal Candidate: Ideal candidate has 2-5 years of sales experience, preferably in the packaging machinery/capital equipment industry, selling directly to end users in multiple states.  Annual sales of at least $2 million desired. Bachelors of Masters Degree in engineering, business or related field required. Compensation: Base salary of $60,000-85,000 based upon experience, plus commission.  Full benefits, car allowance, laptop, cell phone provided.  Must possess valid US driver’s license and evidence of insurance.
