Manager, Membership Development
oals & Objectives Plan and execute the Membership Development Plan in support of LHW Destination 2020 Strategic Plan Collaborate with the Director, Membership Development in terms of new member business development Achieve the annual membership new member development targets Solicit and convert new leads for the company independently (focus on all markets except APAC) Obtain and prepare all relevant information for new hotel applications to support the membership development team and the executive committee in their decision making process on new applicants Create, execute and ensure positive orientation experience for all new members, immediate implementation and engagement Responsibilities Oversee and respond to LHW membership inquiries within 24 hours Identifying and converting new hotel leads, including maintaining an accurate pipeline report Conduct market research and due diligence on new destinations and hotel applicants Evaluate the feasibility of new applicants vs. current member hotels to demonstrate value proposition potential hotel owners and/or management companies, and make new hotel recommendations for review by Director, Membership Development and senior executives Manage industry relationships and staying aware of industry changes, emerging issues and trends related to hotel development for presentation to the Director, Membership Development Create membership pricing proposals, reports and presentations for review by Director, Membership Development and senior executives (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) Assess potential new hotel applicants including reviewing information received from hotel on the membership inquiry form Secure and manage all LHW executive visits, ensure LQA inspection is scheduled, liaise with potential new hotels on additional information for hotel application binders, and obtain/synthesize the feedback from Directors of Business Performance and Regional Sales Offices Conduct LHW executive visits when necessary Collaborate with Associate Manager, Quality and Performance to maintain Membership Monthly Report in terms of new leads, hotel admissions, terminations, borderline hotels, renewal, LQA, GSS, etc. Prepare and send non-disclosure agreement and hotel term sheets Create and oversee quarterly LHW executive committee meeting materials, including but not limited to hotel application binders and hotel membership presentations Requirements & Experiences Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Hotel Administration (preferred) Minimum 2-3 years of hotel development, consulting, and/or luxury hotel sales experience Advanced knowledge in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Fluency in English (written and spoken) Moderate travel Skills & Abilities Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Great attention to detail Strong analytical skills and familiarity with basic forecasting and statistical techniques and research Understanding of the hotel market, particularly the luxury segment Ability to work under pressure and multi-task Excellent in time management and organizational skills Ability to influence and build trust Ability to make sound judgments and exercise confidentiality when necessary Fast learner and self-motivated Effective team player and independent thinker Proven record of achieving set targets in the past International, well-rounded mindset, and/or multi-lingual (preferred) Polish and managerial presence Ability to demonstrate consistently the LHW values
