Oxygen Technician

Position Summary: The Oxygen Technician will perform the duties of overhauling and repairing aircraft oxygen masks, cylinders and components.   Essential Functions/Responsibilities: ·          Overhaul and repair oxygen masks, cylinder/regulator assemblies ·          Receive equipment and product inspection ·          Complete work orders and other paperwork ·          Test equipment through the use of pressure gauges and flow meters ·          Service and troubleshoot oxygen equipment by following the maintenance manuals ·          Torque regulators to the cylinders using product specs from the OEM manuals ·          Hydrostatically test oxygen cylinders   Knowledge, Skills & Experiences: ·          Proficient in the use of hand tools ·          Experience in working with high pressure oxygen ·          Comply with all applicable regulations ·          Comply with company policies ·          Follow designated procedures ·          Ability to follow verbal and written instructions   Physical Job Description: Typical Working Conditions: Climate controlled office and manufacturing environment High volume repair facility Exposure to high pressure oxygen Limited exposure to Isopropyl Alcohol and Acetone   Equipment Used: Pressure gauges Flow meters Torque wrenches Hand tools Air vise Oxygen servicing station Hydrostatic testing machine Telephone Computer Copier/Printer/Fax   Essential Physical Tasks: Standing for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Bending at the waist Bending at the knees Sitting for long periods of time Climbing stairs Job Requirements: ·          Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent ·          3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience ·          Experienced technician with A&P certification or strong mechanical skills ·          Ability to read pressure gauges and flow meters ·          Ability to use measuring equipment (torque wrenches) ·          Solid written and oral communications skills ·          Ability to multi-task and work in a high volume producing department ·          Pass Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol testing ·          Aircraft industry experience preferred   Pay Rate: $20.00 hr
