BI-260 Data Engineer – Linux SQL Python C++ Data Analysis  Location: Job is in SF, Seattle, or NYC Domain:  Research & Development Experience: 5+ Years   Experienced Data Engineer is required having responsibility to identify the most efficient means of moving data from the aforementioned data sources to a static test cluster on our premises.   Job Responsibilities: Inventory data sources. Identify the most efficient means of moving data from the aforementioned data sources to a static test cluster on our premises. Implement automation and plumbing framework for the data transfers. This may require support from our Software Engineering team to build the needed connector technology. Inventory data sets created from the data sources. Select appropriate data sets. Write use-case specific automation or integration code to move the data sets to a static test cluster via the plumbing framework. Write scripts for data management in the static test cluster. other responsibilities as needed   Job Requirements & Experience: 5+ years working in a high-volume data analysis or data production environment to acquire the necessary skills for this role. Experience handling large data files. Large means 100,000 lines of data to tens of Terabytes (and beyond). Need to be comfortable and capable of getting (a lot) of work done hands-on at the Linux command-line. Need to know how to work with SQL databases and how to construct advanced SQL queries. Need to be highly facile with Python, and have recent experience wrangling large data sets.
