Mid-senior Level - Middleware Engineer -

rp Decisions is looking for a Middleware Engineer for a Healthcare Company to be based in New York, NY.  The responsibilities of the Middleware Engineer will include: Responsible for working with the architecture and infrastructure teams to develop and build the middleware infrastructure. They will be expected to work closely with the full time staff in a mentoring capacity. Will also interface with the applications teams to advise with systems integration efforts, to optimize system performance, to perform capacity management and to perform daily administrative tasks. Develop, build and provide ongoing support for the middleware architecture. This will include the building out of the service bus as well as required distributed end point processes that will be participating in the architecture. Document work performed and mentor full time staff to transition the work to upon completion of the assignment. Perform daily operational and administrative tasks to support the environment. This will include implementing operational processes and scripting routine administrative tasks intended to maximize output and increase reliability by reducing the possibility of errors. Develop and implement a monitoring solution that will enable for early alerting of problems encountered. This should include steps to follow once alerted to quickly triage the problem identifying the issue expeditiously. *The knowledge and skills listed below are a MUST HAVE. Bachelor's degree or ten years of related work in computer operations Strong technical knowledge in middleware architecture and operational process. Strong project management skills DataPower experience Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, UNIX, LINUX, WebSphere MQ, WebSphere ESB, IIB, WebSphere WAS, WEBLOGIC, Datapower, WebSphere Service Registry, shell, C, .NET, VB Prior experience with McKesson or Z/OS is a plus
