Apparel Design/New graduates welcome

ION SUMMARY   Assist Senior Designer in all phases of design and development to meet image, financial and deadline goals of the company.     RESPONSIBILITIES   Collaborate on product conceptualization. Digitize artwork, including prints for use in computer drawn product representations, embroidery layouts, and color mixing on computer to match standards. Assist in preparing/revising/distributing spec packages and other development materials. Prepare product presentation boards in collaboration with the Senior Designer. Maintain design records/notebooks. Participate in designing supporting pieces based on top of bed. Research market, trends and new product ideas. Assist in preparing print artwork into repeat & color ways. Assist in reviewing prints and colors for accuracy and give comments for correction. Organize and approve fabrics into design library.     REQUIRED SKILLS OR EDUCATION   Excellent Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop skills Bachelor’s Degree in Design and/or Art Experience in apparel or home textiles design/development, and understanding of the product development process Basic knowledge of fabrics and printing Flexible attitude and ability to work with changing priorities and deadlines Good color sense and taste level Highly motivated and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Salary DOE, Recent Design graduates welcome.
