Application Security Administrator

rview: The Application Security Administrator oversees the application protection standards this international company.   In this role, security authorizations are created, maintained, and subsequently assigned to the user community. More specifically, this individual collects the business process security requirements, verifies the security roles, and assigns these roles to individual system users. This administrator will develop and maintain appropriate security solutions in coordination with the Information Technology support team’s projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who will maintain vigilance in proactively monitoring and managing access to a wide array of applications integral to business operations.   Responsibilities: -       Independently conduct access control audits and monitor for security policy violations. -       Document application security requirements and recommend best-practice solutions. -       Enforcement of corporate access policies, including vendor access and separation of duties. -       Coordination with vendor, third-party, and internal development teams to verify access rights. -       Participates in regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI DSS). -       Use of support ticket processing for issue analysis. -       Aid IT support teams in problem resolution and customer support. -       Perform other Information Security tasks as needed, including Incident Response and Log Management.   Desired Skills and Experience: -       Two years Information Technology auditing experience (experience with a “Big 4” accounting firm is a plus). -       Industry training or certifications for IT auditing and security (CISA, GSNA, SSCP, CISSP). -       Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. -       Detailed understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI DSS regulatory compliance. -       Ability to prioritize and execute tasks. -       Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills. -       Good documentation and oral communication skills. -       Experience operating in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. -       A motivated professional who maintains a strong focus on superior customer service.
