You live and breathe mobile & tablet technology You have a deep understanding of Android development You are up to date on the latest industry trends, especially with all things Android & Google You genuinely enjoy what you do each day and have fun doing it Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include all aspects of mobile software development, from design to coding to testing to iterating. Craft and maintain a world-class Android experience Work directly with the product & design team members, developers, and editorial stakeholders to conceptualize, build, test and release “best-in-breed” mobile products Work with internal development team to create and maintain robust mobile frameworks Writing clean, scalable & maintainable code while intelligently iterating and shipping Build, analyze and optimize UI and back-end application code for efficiency and performance Mentor, manage and support a growing development team Requirements: You possess a deep understanding of Android development: engineering, releasing and supporting applications B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or 4+ years in relevant work experience 3+ years of object-oriented software development experience 3+ years of developing Android applications in Java Proficient in the following technologies: Java language and related frameworks Multi-Threading and memory management specific to mobile devices Deep understanding of caching mechanisms Experience in understanding large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable.
