: Writer / Editor for new Music Module Location: New York, NY Start: TBD (ideally early July) Duration: 3-months, possible extension Work Type: W2 Contract Awesome gig for a music enthusiast who also has writing & editing skills! The Writer / Editor for a new Music module will write, edit, proofread and copyedit a variety of documents to support a partnership with a leading entertainment company. Responsibilities: Write, Edit, Proofread and Copyedit Plan and prepare stories for dissemination on website. Work with video editors to cut video to support stories Select visuals to support stories (photos, videos, graphics) Manipulation of images in Photoshop (basic Photoshop knowledge is fine) Publish content to Social Media sites including Twitter, Tumblr & Facebook. Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Strong knowledge of Music audience (iknowing what music lovers like and want to read/watch videos about) Strong knowledge of digital sites Basic knowledge of Photoshop Basic knowledge of HTML Some experience with CRM tools (a plus) Experience publishing content to social media Performs a variety of complicated tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected May direct and lead the work of others.. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
