Construction Project Manager / Owner's Rep
is multi-faceted role your diverse responsibilities will include: Plan and manage the real estate company’s residential and commercial construction capital improvement and construction projects. Oversee and participate in the development of requests for proposal, bids, contracts and estimates for construction. Negotiate contracts with architects, contractors and third-party vendors. Monitor performance. Ensure all construction projects are completed to a high quality and on schedule. Prepare budgets and create/monitor construction schedules. Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, other regulatory requirements. Qualified candidates will possess the following: Bachelor’s degree. Engineering or construction management degree preferred. 10+ years experience in construction management, including experience as an owner’s representative for a real estate company. NYC capital improvement and construction experience is required. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and tools, materials and methods used in construction or repair of residential and commercial buildings. Strong judgment and decision making with regards to the costs and benefits of actions. Solid analytical ability. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
