Mountain Top Cabin-Ski

The Mountain Cabin at Morada Ridge is an older cabin but clean and well kept. This is not a luxury accommodation. The cabin is nicely furnished and has everything you need for an enjoyable visit. The kitchen has a large wood stove, electric stove and oven, full capacity size frig and freezer, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, dishes and plenty of pots and pans, and all other necessary utensils. All linens and a stack washer dryer unit are also included. There is a 39" LED tv in the living room with 800 tv and music channels including HBO, Starz, Encore, and full sports packages. If you have service with Verizon, you will have cell phone service here. But only Verizon. There is no land line in the cabin but if you need a phone, you can use ours. Just a short distance down the hill is Beech Creek; an exceptional remote bold creek with waterfalls that is very secluded and great for hiking or fly fishing. It is trout stocked in the spring. There are many hiking trails and long back dirt roads for visitors with ATV's. There is an abundance of wildlife all around including birds, turkeys, deer, bear, and more. The cabin is located on the back side of Beech Mountain just 25 minutes from Ski Beech, 30 minutes to Boone, 45 minutes to Banner Elk or Blowing Rock, and 20 minutes to Watauga Lake. The dirt road to Morada Ridge is approximately 4 miles long where you will only see a few houses. You will not see much of anything on your way to the cabin except Beech creek, waterfalls, rock out croppings, rhododendrons, and wildlife. We rent nightly, weekly, and monthly. We do not charge a cleaning fee and we do not charge extra for holidays or have seasonal rates. Weeks run from Friday to Friday but we may be able to make exceptions.
