/> Sharp Decisions is looking for a Project Manager for a Financial Services Company to be based in New York City.    The role and responsibilities of the Project Manager will include: Key Responsibilities:  Role involves leveraging solid project management skills to support an accounting implementation project. Candidate will be responsible for the delivery of projects and coordinating SDLC activities across multiple business and technical stakeholders in line with business priorities.  This individual will work closely with the Product Control (PC), Financial Accounting (FA) clients and Change teams to understand requirements and work with business analysts and to design solutions to meet business needs. He/she will liaise with multiple IT teams to drive forward delivery. Team management responsibilities involve working with business analyst and other resources and developing strong partnerships with supplier teams to achieve desired outcomes. This individual must have prior experience working in financial markets and product knowledge is recommended. They must have worked in an Information Technology department. Candidate expected to exude a take-charge attitude towards problems and thrive for excellence. Project Management:  Accountability for implementations that impact multiple IT systems Oversee multiple projects running in parallel spanning multiple regions and re-engineering technology and business; Define the scope of work, project plans and deliverables Develop and manage project schedule Manage a significant number of interlinked projects and work streams Navigate across many different IT and business groups and to align their priorities and requirements Document assumptions and manage expectations if they are invalidated Creating and using protocols and templates for project planning/tracking, status, issues/risks/actions reporting Manage IT budget Preparation and distribution of Weekly/Monthly Reporting Business Analysis Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements Leverage business knowledge to construct functional specifications and work with Development and Architecture teams to confirm IT solution and other SDLC+ activities Work with QA, Change and Line teams to perform testing *The knowledge and skills listed below are a MUST HAVE. Be sure to properly articulate the functionality of your background as it pertains to this role.   Experience and Skills Required/Desired: This role requires an experienced Project Manager who will be able to manage multiple tasks, team members and key stakeholders. The key challenge will be to ensure that the specific requirements of stakeholders and the strategic objective of the project(s) are met in alignment with the overall strategic vision of the business and IT. It is preferable that the candidate possesses CFO business knowledge and / or prior experience managing similar projects relating to P&L, Price Testing, Fair Value Measurement, Disclosures, GL, Regulatory Reporting, etc. The candidate must understand the front-to-back business process and must be able to solution across multiple business domains. Experience with the implementation of projects across a large and diverse stakeholder base located in multiple geographies. Candidate must possess subject matter expertise. Strong understanding of CFO processes and systems A passion for technology, business and design Smart, intellectually curious; Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly Detail oriented; Analytical with problem solving abilities Professional and energetic Comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes Proven track record working within an Investment Banking Financial data related environment Product and trade life cycle knowledge preferred Technical skills preferred Solid project management experience Ability to identify issues, recognize root causes and take appropriate action or recommend possible scenarios to solve problems A self starter, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working both independently and within a team, using one's own initiative to provide robust and timely solutions Ability to manage own work plan and schedule to successfully meet goals with tight deadlines and minimal supervision Flexibility and openness to change Excellent verbal and written communication skills
