national brokerage located in Greenwich, Connecticut needs: Senior Accountants:   3+ years of related brokerage accounting experience Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with multitasking capabilities. Good understanding of technology & automation is a strong plus. Prior experience with Oracle Financials is a plus. This is a position with a high growth international brokerage business.ÂÂ This role will be responsible for daily accounting functions. On the job training will provide a candidate with a detailed view of the operation of financial markets in the US and other countries for most tradable products: stocks, options, futures, FX, bonds, etc.ÂÂ requires a highly organized, strong analytical thinker, who enjoys problem solving and is persistent in getting to the right answer.ÂÂ Candidates with intellectual curiosity will thrive in this role. Responsibilities: Perform daily, weekly and monthly accounting and controls functions. Maintain mappings for automated entries for data feeds from internal systems and electronic external bank information. Identify, research and resolve differences between actual and expected financial settlements, dividends, corporate actions, etc. Preparing month-end account reconciliations. Ad-hoc Reporting and Analysis, special projects. Doing whatever is necessary to move a dynamic, fast growing business forward. Requirements: Bachelors or equivalent in Accounting. CPA is a plus. 3+ years of related brokerage accounting experience Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with multitasking capabilities. Good understanding of technology & automation is a strong plus. Ability to specify programming requirements is a plus. Must be a self-starter. Prior experience with Oracle Financials is a plus. High level of attention to detail. Base salary to 90K plus Bonus!
