Junior Architect or Engineer -Property

/> Overview: As a Junior Architect or Engineer at IVI, you will conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCA) and building forensic studies to identify and remedy physical deficiencies. You will be exposed to a wide variety of property types including residential, office, retail, hospitality, and warehouse/distribution buildings. This is an ideal position for those architects and engineers that wish to utilize their technical and forensic investigated skills as to building system/component system failure. At IVI, you will work with and learn from seasoned architects/engineers and grow into a professional role, conducting and leading projects independently. Responsibilities: Perform investigative research of service contractors and government agencies; Prepare Property Condition Assessment Reports; Conduct walk-through surveys of buildings to assess condition of a building’s major systems: site work improvements, structural, facades and roofs, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; Interview property owners, occupants, key site personnel and local government officials to obtain information concerning the subject property’s condition; Take document photographs of representative systems, conditions, and physical deficiencies; Prepare cost estimate costs to remedy building deficiencies; Use IVI’s proprietary online document assembly software to prepare PCRs and cost estimates to remedy observed physical deficiencies; and Deliver outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to client needs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering; EIT is desired; 2+ years building evaluation or commercial design experience. However, appropriate construction experience would make this position available to recent grads; Passion for being detail oriented and highly organized; Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook; Excellent verbal communication and writing skills; and The ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
