Testing Technician

On-Going Contract City: New York City (NYC) State: New York (NY) Description: Provide Quality Assurance and overseeing of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Operations, including Project Management support. Must be mechanically inclined to oversee the maintenance of TGC UT equipment and the servicing of the roller search units (RSU), as well as calibration of the equipment. Must be capable of overseeing the troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic equipment on the TGCs' UT system. Industry: Transportation Required Education: Four-year college degree in field of engineering (preferred), or Two-year college degree specialized in Non-Destructive Testing, or High School Diploma and four years of verifiable and documented ultrasonic testing experience (preferred rail flaw inspection). Required Experience: The preference is for the candidate to have recently successfully completed (within two years of this job posting) formal classroom training in ultrasonic testing Level I and/or Level II from a recognized NDT training institute. Must be proficient in use of all MS Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Must have data entry and report generation skills.
