Food Server - Part Time

ion Summary The Server is responsible for assisting in the servicing of the guest and or clients of the dining room/banquet facility and to maintain the highest level of standards and efficiency. Obtain orders from guests, serve food and beverages while maintaining the highest quality in service and attention to the guest. Essential Functions Memorizes menu, daily food and beverage specials, buffet items as well as preparation of each Greet guests, seats guests, explains specials and restaurant promotions Delivers food and beverages Checks in on guests frequently to ensure the highest quality of service and attention Anticipate and understand guest’s service needs, respond promptly Solves guest issues and reports issues to manager Replenish beverages; abide by regulations pertaining to serving alcohol Completes side and cleaning work as instructed and assist with clearing and resetting tables Sorts and stacks dirty dishware, utensils and linens according to standard Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Monitor and maintain cleanliness/sanitation/organization standards Clear each course following procedures addressed in departmental manual Ensure to record broken items on the breakage sheet Perform other job functions when assigned to ensure guest expectations are exceeded, such as assist the bus person with table service, and works in banquets Position Requirements Minimum Knowledge Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations. Must be able to handle multiple tasks/duties simultaneously. Team player -Communicate effective with guests, management and co-workers Well organized. Excellent customer service skills. Minimum 18 years of age, Knowledge of various food service styles and must be able to carry trays weighing 35 pounds. Formal Education and Job-Related Experience High school diploma or equivalent.  One year experience in high-end restaurant or luxury hotel/conference center.
