Inn Keeper/Front Desk Supervisor (Westchester)

mall luxury boutique Inn with an extraordinary, stunning yoga loft has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Front Desk Supervisor based in Westchester, New York.  Looking for a person to oversee the daily operations of the front desk and concierge, ensure all communications meet standards for maximum guest satisfaction and act as the main contact for guests in the absence of other colleagues.   Essential Job Functions: *  Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or standards and consistent with property values. *  Resolve guest complaints and concerns by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions. *  Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. *  Participate in activities related to interacting with guests on an individual level, thus creating a relationship and culture that will result in repeat stays. *  Oversee front office operations in the absence of other colleagues. *  Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing accounts and conducting audits. *  Make and confirm reservations. *  Promote brand-specific marketing programs. *  Greet guests immediately upon arrival; register and assign guests to inn rooms. *  Compute bills, collect payments, handle cash, and make change for guests. *  Close out guest accounts at time of check out.  In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise, which may include authorizing revenue allowances. *  Ensure Inn entrance, reception and other public areas are properly maintained in regards to cleanliness and appearance. *  Perform other duties as requested by management.   Position Requirements: *  Minimum One Year of Hotel Front Desk Experience (supervisory or Management role) *  Knowledge of computers and systems *  Successful problem solving skills *  Able to communicate written and spoken English *  Excellent overall communication skills *  Able to Multi-task *  The ability to work well in a team environment *  Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Inn which includes overtime, weekends, and holidays.
