Restaurant Catering & Sales Market Leader
ng for a talented Sales Market Leader for NYC, NJ & CT! Purpose of the position The sales team leader is responsible to increase sales by leading and managing a sales team. Provide support to the Catering Sales Team as they execute their day-to-day routines. Troubleshoots and provides resolution to problems as needed for the sales team. Lead, train, and coach direct report sales people by providing expert knowledge and guidance in support of companies sales tools and processes. Trains new sales people per company training outline as needed. Motivates high levels of employee performance, fostering teamwork and creating a guest centric environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Increase sales in all restaurants in assigned territory to meet budgeted sales plan. Effectively execute catering business plan to reach desired results Forecast future catering opportunities to reach business plan goals Execute all Market Specialist duties, including direct selling when needed Partner with operations leadership to develop a sales strategy and sales targets for the region to achieve regional sales goals Provide Support of sales team as requested with the day-to-day routines. Troubleshoots issues that are escalated with regards to eMarket, CRM, and POS. Lead a team of 2 - 3 Market Specialists in support of field sales. This includes filling in for vacations and open positions that need to be filled. Directs team on other sales priorities as assigned by Corporate Director of Sales Fill in for vacationing Sales Team Leaders as requested by Corporate Director of Sales Participate on weekly Sales Team Leader calls. Create and deliver all training curriculum as assigned pertaining to the sales team role. Provide leadership, coaching, training, education and motivation for the execution of strategic initiatives to ensure sales results Participate in training process of new sales team members Conducts sales calls to key accounts as assigned by Corporate Director of Sales Create and deliver constructive feedback and performance reviews for direct reports. Assist in the interview and selection process for Market Specialists Make any necessary outbound calls to internal and external customers that support the business needs according to department guidelines Act as main contact point for Corporate Accounts, Authorized Signers, POS VS. Booked Reports, Vendor Applications, Full Service Catering Events, and Aging Reports. Provide guidance and training to sales team as needed on same. Effectively manages information in the CRM database Establish and maintains long-term relationships with all Support Center and Field personnel. Explore contract / rebate opportunities with customers Job Qualifications Minimum of three to five years of sales experience One to three years of supervisory experience, preferably in sales environment Working knowledge of CRM software such as Oracle or Salesforce preferred Ability to interpret the business goals of the department and apply techniques and strategy to expedite the achievement of those goals Ability to utilize good business ethics to exemplify the goals and values of the Corporation. Solid business judgment and strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated capability to maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers of all levels and skill sets Detail oriented, logical, analytical and methodological in approach to problem solving.
