Data Engineer – C++ SQL Python Data Analysis

Time Permanent Position for a large US Company. BI-260 Data Engineer – C++ SQL Python Data Analysis Linux   Experienced Data Engineer is required having responsibility to identify the most efficient means of moving data from the aforementioned data sources to a static test cluster on our premises.   Job Responsibilities: Inventory data sets created from the data sources. Select appropriate data sets. Write use-case specific automation or integration code to move the data sets to a static test cluster via the plumbing framework. Write scripts for data management in the static test cluster. other responsibilities as needed Inventory data sources. Implement automation and plumbing framework for the data transfers. This may require support from our Software Engineering team to build the needed connector technology. Identify the most efficient means of moving data from the aforementioned data sources to a static test cluster on our premises.   Job Requirements & Experience: Need to be comfortable and capable of getting (a lot) of work done hands-on at the Linux command-line. Need to know how to work with SQL databases and how to construct advanced SQL queries. Need to be highly facile with Python, and have recent experience wrangling large data sets. Ideal if you are also skilled using C++ for commercial software development. 5+ years working in a high-volume data analysis or data production environment to acquire the necessary skills for this role. Experience handling large data files.
