ummary: The research and development chef works with the R&D team to take a culinary project from the concept to commercialization. The R&D chef uses his/her culinary skills and food science knowledge to develop new products. The chef is responsible for initiating a concept, creating recipes, cooking samples for testing, enhancing current products and providing input on taste, texture and packaging of the entire line of Seviroli's food products.   Duties & Responsibilities: Daily Maintain a professional and functional R&D Kitchen Stock and rotate most commonly used ingredients and functional ingredients needed for everyday culinary development Prepare and set up for current projects, ingredient testing, or recipe creation Work closely with the rest of the R&D team to ensure that all the R&D requests are met in a timely manner Set up and maintain pilot testing area when applicable Ensure all refrigerated and dry goods areas are clean and organized, with every item properly labeled.   Weekly Keep inventory of all samples in Freezer 2 for sales department Update all projects data and communicate to R&D team General Collect ingredients for bench top and test formulae Scale and produce formulae for testing Continue improving knowledge of food products, culinary trends and functional ingredients   Goals: Satisfactorily perform daily and weekly tasks in a timely fashion, complete projects as assigned, meet all deadlines, document all work   Qualifications: Must have experience in food industry. Must possess culinary skills. Must be willing to gain thorough knowledge of pasta manufacturing processes   Education/Experience: High School Education – Culinary School Certification preferred   Other pertinent data: R&D Position is a physically demanding job: on feet most of day, walking to stations and food lines, some lifting necessary
