Summary of Position Reporting to Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Director (Project Mgmt.) is responsible for planning the use of BCNY’s capital and human resources toward maximum productivity. The Operations Director (Project Mgmt.) will be responsible for creating consistent operational practices across the organization in the areas of finance, program operation, human resources and major capital expenditures. In partnership with supervisors, the Operations Director (Project Mgmt.) will identify short-term fixes for critical issues and long-term solutions for high-impact issues in order to increase operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and support the Operations team’s culture of collaboration and problem-solving within the organization. Major Duties and Responsibilities • Support management planning and reporting to improve communication between administration and BCNY facilities. • Develop and manage project plans for all major Facilities, Human Resources and Information Technology projects. • Coordinate and collaborate with Operations Managers to implement systems to review operating costs and ensure that they are consistently in line with budgetary expectations. • Oversee financial, food services, and human resource management at the Clubhouse level to ensure consistent practices across the organization and adherence to regulatory requirements. • Develop operational workflows, documents and templates for support services to include facilities, HR, IT and security. • Monitor project metrics for significant deviations in cost or schedule and provide a weekly status update to stakeholders. • Conduct regular operational and regulatory audits. • Work with Chief Operating Officer to develop quarterly and annual report of projects and performance for Operations Committee. • Responsible for other related duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience MBA or Master’s degree in related field or commensurate experience and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required. Proficient in operating a Windows based PC with demonstrable skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff and major projects or initiatives. • Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, effectively manage stressful situations and consistently make effective, high quality decisions. • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. • Comfortable using technology, including project management software, to solve problems. • Ability to work in a diverse team environment. • Proficient in strategic planning and risk management. • Highly self-motivated and proactive with strong time management skills. • Superior interpersonal skills. The Operations Director (Project Mgmt.) will be based in New York and provide support in the Martinsville, NJ location as required, as well as any future site opened by BCNY, and must be willing to travel as needed.
