Associate Product Line Manager - Baby Gear
iate Product Line Manager – Baby-Gear POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Manager will be responsible for the management of Baby Gear lines across various brands. The ideal candidate will have a background in product marketing development, as well as experience with infant related consumer products i.e. strollers, play-yards, bassinets, walkers, and car-seats. Successful candidate will possess demonstrated project management skills and highly developed communications skills at all levels. Must feel comfortable challenging current thinking and be flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Apply a highly creative and resourceful approach to the design and development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of parents and their children by creating products that benefit their everyday lives and enhance how parents interact with their children. Develop short and long-term strategic business plans for each product category, including optimal product mix and innovation strategy. Facilitate the integration of soft goods (seats pads and/or fabric liners), with their associated hardware in new and exciting ways that meet production. Participate in formal and informal design reviews and brainstorming sessions to generate new products ideas to be developed by you and other on your team. Research existing market conditions and conduct feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing products. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape both domestic and globally to include competitive pricing, features, and specs. Utilize a superior knowledge of color, form and surface development to optimize the industrial design solution. Manage product enhancements, resolve product issues, and orchestrate cross functional alignment. Willing to travel to Asia to work with our Asia development teams on-site and through remote conferencing in order to guide and shape our prototypes and production designs to a successful outcome within rapid development cycle. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated understanding of the new product development cycle and ability to identify new products opportunities. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and attention to detail. Cross-functional experience across multiple disciplines (i.e. Marketing, Design, Supply Chain, QA, etc) QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design, Engineering, Business and Marketing. A minimum of 3 to 5 years related industrial design experience. Computer skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), Adobe Illustrator or Adobe
