SQL Server DB Administrator

Hours per week: 40. This is a full time position. Provide DBA support and management services for Microsoft SQLServer HA Databases within Public Safety cluster. Duties include but are not limited to: Support the implementation of Microsoft SQL Server databases and SQL Server Integration and Reporting services within the Public Safety Cluster database environment. Provide additional DBA support for Oracle databases. Allocate storage, setup and monitor database backups, create database instances and schemas, implement maintenance plans, and maintain database security. Interact heavily with other DBA staff to provide on-the-job training and assistance in performing database administrative activities. Required to be available for rotational on-call support to maintain 7x24 coverage of the Database environment. Database Administrator: Responsible for data analysis and database management, Maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning. Requested Qualifications: Minimum of 84 months experience administering and supporting a 24x7 highly available Database environment, Minimum of 60 months experience administering and supporting a MS SQL Server (2005 or above) Database environment, Minimum of 36 months experience in installation, configuration, and support of a MS SQL Server 2008 SSIS/SSAS/SSRS environment. Minimum of 48 months experience and senior level skills in developing and programming with Microsoft T-SQL. Minimum of 48 months experience and senior level skills writing scripts and programs using MS Windows PowerShell .
