Sr. Infrastructure Engineer - Citrix, VMware

UMMARY: The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the overall architecture, design, implementation and support of the enterprise-wide server infrastructure which includes: network operating system (NOS), Active Directory services, server hardware, file management, application services, server/data backup & restoration and virus protection services.  Application services would encompass Citrix web services, Citrix desktop, Microsoft Terminal Services, VMWare, Cisco Switch fabric, NetApp and HP SAN infrastructure toolset. Duties include the maintenance and advancement of the organization’s network directory structure to support standards-based directory services enabling user provisioning and single sign-on; the assumed responsibility for the development and management of standards-based server provisioning; the development and advancement of an organizational-wide data recovery services, the maintenance of an enterprise-wide virus protection strategy, the continuation of a scaled virtualization strategy, and the development, testing, and ongoing administration of the server backup and recovery technology services and procedures. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer acts as the key architect in recommending new technologies and processes to improve workflow and processes, while reducing downtime and costs. The Senior Engineer works with the Infrastructure Engineering Manager to develop team strategy, assess project workloads and tasks, recognize opportunities for preventive and proactive maintenance, and report infrastructure growth and requirements changes.   VMWare v5.x experience is a must         Must have advanced to expert knowledge of VMWare and the functions/features therein         VCP certification (or currently acquiring) is a requirement         VCHS experience is a plus         Citrix Experience is required         Preferable experience with v7.x         Must have PVS Experience         AppSense experience is a plus         EMC Storage Experience – preferably with enterprise products         Experience with DataDomain, Xtreme-IO, Networker, RecoveryPoint, VPlex, or VNX is a plus         If no experience with EMC, candidate must have prior SAN experience (engineering and implementation)         Project Management is necessary         Must have experience running large scale/duration projects (100+ hours)        Understanding of project management concepts and processes         Detailed and Complete Documentation is a must         Ability to draft schematics and diagrams within Visio         Strict adherence to policies/procedures, with the ability to suggest/develop new ones where applicable ·         Cisco UCS Blade Server Experience is a plus
