Hours are 9 am to 5 pm. Job location is New York, NY   Description: Maintenance, integration enhancements, and end user support for NYSIF’s worker’s compensation policy handling systems The duties of the consulting resources would be to plan, create, modify, test and implement code in support modernized premium calculator for NYSIF staff to calculate and determine Workers Compensation premium and exposure. This involves creation of new calculator along with Policy Period Screen and Statement of Account screens. Task will include any of the following: Legacy data migration, premium calculator and rating engine. Comprehensive history feature – track changes by type, date, and user’s name etc. Providing all policy maintenance transactions, consistent with NYC requirements Integrating NYSIF specific rules for policy rating and maintenance Producing all information and declaration pages and policy forms for all NYSIF district office locations throughout the state Producing all reporting to the CIRB Producing required reporting to the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) Producing required reporting to the New York State Worker’s Compensation Board Receiving and applying rate revisions and experience modifications from the CIRB Calculating and applying experience modifications based on available premium and loss information Invoicing and maintain policy receivables consistent with NYSIF requirements Producing multiple policy quotations and creating new business transactions as required Creating pre-renewal quotes Maintaining broker/agency management system Cancelling and reinstating transactions and producing statutory notices Programming to assure ease of use by NYSIF premium audit staff of audit calculations, scheduling and communications software on NYSIF laptops Programming to assure ease of use by NYSIF loss control staff of scheduling, recommendations, follow-ups and communications software on NYSIF computer laptops Interfacing with the various claims systems to integrate specific claim information Feeding all necessary data to the data warehouse/business intelligence system The consultant will adhere to NYSIF’s application development standards, including, but not limited to, project management methodology, SDLC (software development life cycle), Enterprise Architecture standards and the IT governance process.     Technical Architect - Technical expert centered around a technology, technologies or a portfolio of applications - Designing and implementing Information Technology solutions Senior 60 - 84 Months Candidate is able to work without assistance and can provide leadership for others; may have advanced education     Requested Qualifications: At least 60 months experience with New York State Worker’s Compensation Insurance, which includes the maintenance and end user support to rate, produce, maintain and bill policies At least 60 months experience in DMSII in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in XGEN in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in SDF in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in CANDE in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in MARC in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in ALGOL in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in COBOL74 in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 60 months experience in COMS in a Unisys A-Series mainframe environment At least 36 months experience in Oracle development At least 36 months experience in PL/SQL development At least 36 months experience in XSLT development At least 36 months experience in XML development At least 24 months experience with Innotas project portfolio management At least 24 months experience with Blueprint requirements definition and management platform At least 24 months experience with HP Quality Center   Do you anticipate any absences during the engagement period?
