frastructure Engineer What we need The infrastructure engineer is responsible to, implement and support the application and network infrastructure. This individual contributor provides a level of expertise for the development, specification and implementation of the firm's technology plan, the infrastructure components required to support it, and in the integration of corporate and business area architectures. Participation in multiple technology projects for the region. Provide effective technology solutions for the most diverse and complex business problems. Ensure seamless transition of design from implementation into production support. What you'll do - Provide integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies, which will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals. - Researches and evaluates new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs. - Provides operational support documentation and escalation processes for services and products introduced into production - Stays up to date on trends and developments within functional area of expertise and the industry - Perform complex engineering, implementation, and maintenance tasks on the LAN and/or WAN - Collect and analyze data network statistics through the full stack - Provide support for application delivery for both local and wide area traffic - Support cloud networking and content delivery providers - Create, edit, monitor, and react to system alerts and service or incident escalations - Provide reports on system performance metrics: availability, capacity, utilization, security log reviews, and domain audits - Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation; work nights/weekends to accommodate maintenance windows and provide “3rd level” support for Production Services - Excellent communication and interpersonal and consultative skills to work effectively with vendors, clients, peers, IT management and staff. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills. - Ability to work with virtual teams on short & long term projects. Education/Background - 2+ years’ experience in Windows Systems Administration. - Experience with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Citrix, VMWare ESXi. - Experience with Dell Blade Servers. - Experience with NetBackup or similar enterprise software. - Experience with L2/L3 switching, STP, QoS, VLANs, VTP, LAGP, PagP, VOIP. - Working knowledge of SAN protocols. - Working knowledge on Aruba Networks, Meraki, Bluecoat, HP Procurve, Force10, Fortinet, Palo Alto, HP & Canon Uniflow solutions. - Good understanding of OSI Model and of TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP) - Understanding of routing protocols - EGRIP, OSPF, BGP - Avaya Call Manager experience is a plus
