It's an old shingle cutter that works perfectly. It was also used to cut slate shingles like butter. It weighs a whopping 45 lbs. I can just see this holding a large door open or sitting in front of the fireplace so the logs don't fall out onto the floor. Just a fun, workable old work horse of a tool.
