Director of Distribution Center

 Recruiters is seeking a Director of Distribution Center. This role will be responsible for the overall performance of a full service Distribution Center including: warehouse operations, store delivery, inventory management, localized store services, asset management, and human resources administration. The Director plans, organizes staffs, directs, and controls related functions and activities within the Distribution Center. This role acts as a strategic partner with logistics and supply chain management in establishing and adhering to operating budgets.   RESPONSIBILITIES: ·Â Provide aggressive and effective management of the Distribution Center Profit and Loss Statement ·Â Establish and maintain effective relationships with Store Operations and Regional Management, Purchasing, Co-Op Advertising, General Accounting, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and various other Corporate Departments ·Â Develop, implement, and manage various programs that enhance team building and management development. Practice motivational management methods that instill partnership, ownership, and a pro-active management approach when conducting the many operational facets of the business ·Â Direct, coordinate, and control inbound freight, inventory functions, warehouse service levels, and storage materials. ·Â Support the Human Resources and Loss Prevention functions and maintain adherence to HR and LP policies and procedures   Job Requirements ·Â Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree and/or certification desired ·Â 7+ years’ experience in a management position successfully building and leading teams in a distribution center with a high volume of product coming in and out ·Â Ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of employees ·Â Demonstrated leadership abilities ·Â Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently and complete assignments within established timelines
