Bi-Lingual Publications Manager

ublication Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of all of the publications of the plan. The manager is responsible for supervising staff associated with publications, coordinating with vendors, and working collaboratively with other departments in the production of plan publications and communications. Responsibilities: Effectively manage publications from concept to production and distribution. Provide supervision and oversight to publications team in the production of all printed materials. Participate in inter-departmental meetings. Interact with vendors, consultants and freelancers. Responsible for the accuracy, appropriateness and relevance of all aspects of the publications. Develop organizational style guides (for English and Spanish) to establish consistent style usage for words, punctuation, grammar, translation and other areas. Edit and proofread in English and Spanish all publication materials before publication (both printed and digital). Translate from English to Spanish accurately and with cultural competency. Research, write and translate (English/Spanish) articles/content. Create digital version of developed materials for web distribution. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Spanish, Education, Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years experience in publications management Must be able to read, write, and translate materials from English and Spanish and vice versa Must be able to meet the plans content and graphic standards Community health education experience a plus Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and/or other chronic health issues Detail oriented Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines Excellent verbal, computer, organization, writing and interpersonal skills Demonstrates a creative, articulate approach and maintains cultural competency Team player Experience working with community grassroots organization a plus
