cript Developer Our NYC based professional services client is looking to staff a new client. The successful candidate will be responsible for design and implementation of web applications/modules that are part of a large, highly scalable cloud-based enterprise system. Responsibilities: Job functions will include requirements gathering and documentation, definition of functional specifications, collaboration with usability designer, test engineers and other functional area specialists. Prior medical devices software development experience is highly desired, but not a must. Familiarity with FDA regulated software development process is a plus. Qualifications: Solid understanding of Object Oriented design and programming principles Strong Java development skills Deep understanding of PHP programming Solid understanding of AJAX, REST calls and web services Experience with scalable systems design and implementation Development experience using MVC applications in JAVA/Struts or JAVA/Spring MVC Experience in object-oriented JavaScript (jQuery, ExtJs, backbone.js), with HTML5, CSS3, familiarity with ExtJS is a plus Experience in database design and development using Oracle 10g/11g Experience with NoSQL using Apache Cassandra ver 1.0 and above, CLI, CQL2/3 Experience with Amazon AWS development Exposure to Hadoop and other BigData technologies BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
